Athletic Director

Job Summary: The Athletic Director is directly responsible to the President and is specifically responsible for the operation of the school’s athletic program. The Athletic Director assists with the evaluation of the athletic programs, the evaluation of coaches, and the supervision of students at school-related athletic events.

Specific Duties: 

  • Provides leadership in the development of a Christian educational community of staff, parents, and students.
  • Maintains open lines of communication with students, parents, and other administrators by consistent availability.
  • Responsible for the direct supervision of the coaching staff.
  • Responsible for the formal and informal evaluation of all varsity sports.
  • Attends meetings of the Lehman High School Board of Limited Jurisdiction as necessary.
  • Responsible for assuring compliance of coaching staff in regard to all Ohio Administrative Codes including but not limited to Rule 3301-27-81.
  • Ensures that all students are familiar with provisions of the Athletic Handbook and that both parents and student-athletes have acknowledged with their signature receiving the handbook.
  • Secures quality officials for all games.
  • Consults with the President in the renewal/non-renewal of coaching contracts.
  • Assists the President with periodic research and evaluation of the athletic sports offered.
  • Participates in weekly athletic meetings.
  • Coordinates all activities of the Athletic Boosters.
  • Ensures that athletic facilities are in good repair and ready for scheduled events.
  • Ensures that transportation is available for all athletic contests and that drivers are qualified/certified.
  • Provides the President with an annual inventory of all athletic equipment.
  • Responsible for scheduling all athletic contests for the high school, and for all the teams playing under the Lehman Junior High Athletic Programs.
  • Coordinates physicals of all athletes and maintenance of a permanent record of those physicals.
  • Ensures that all coaches have proper certification of Safe Parish and assists coaches in obtaining proper Safe Parish
  • Other duties that may be necessary from time to time for the effective operation of a Catholic school.

Head Custodian

Job Summary: Responsible for performing various duties to maintain the clean and professional appearance of the campus. | Reports to: Business Manager | Terms of Employment: Full time/40 hours per week, 12 months

General Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all campus areas are kept very clean and in proper working order. Clean individual classrooms including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping. Clean and sanitize all restrooms daily. Clean all hallways daily.
  • Assist Administration in areas as needed, including fixing, installing, and maintaining various equipment and materials.
  • Follow the custodial checklist.
  • Lifting up to 70 lbs. or more (ie. Furniture, ladders, etc.)
  • Ensure all information regarding employees, staff, and students is kept confidential.
  • Address staff and student custodial needs and issues as they arise.
  • Keep current with campus security policies and procedures.
  • Participate with other staff in promoting good teamwork.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly.
  • All personnel, regardless of position, must understand and support the philosophy and mission of Lehman Catholic High School. Must complete Virtus training and proper background checks when hired.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required with related experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and change priorities as needed.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.

Girls Soccer - Assistant Coach

Qualifications: High school coaching experience preferred, but not required. Must have a passion for soccer and embrace the opportunity to serve as a mentor to high school student-athletes. The coach is responsible for the individual skill development of the players and overall team development. Must have the ability to develop a positive/strong culture at a school that values faith as well as academic and athletic success. Lehman Catholic High School is a member of the Three Rivers Conference (TRC).
