Lehman Welcomes New Associate Athletic Director

We are excited to welcome Chris Kash as Lehman’s new Associate Athletic Director. Chris' primary focus will be to assist and learn the athletic director role under the direction of Athletic Director Dick Roll and work with Principal Veronica Gaier in leading key student-life strategic initiatives.

Chris taught criminal justice at the Miami Valley Career Technology Center for the past five years. He served as a student mentor for SkillsUSA, a career-tech student organization. Chris started his career by serving two years in the United States Army, followed by twenty years in law enforcement – first as an officer for the Springfield Police Department, and then as an officer and sergeant with the Huber Heights Police Department before retiring in 2016.

Chris has been involved in youth athletics for thirty years. He began coaching for the Huber Heights Youth Football Program in 1991 and in 1996, his team won the 13/14-year-old National Youth Championship in Daytona Beach, FL. He then coached varsity football at Wayne High School helping to lead the team in 1999 to the Ohio Division I State Runners-Up. Chris continued to coach football at Brookville for many years and then at Tri-County North. He has coached baseball at Brookville and Carroll. He has also been involved in youth hockey, coaching softball, youth soccer, volleyball, and even some basketball. He has coached numerous players who have gone on to play at the collegiate level and some professionally.

Along with his passion for athletics, Chris also has a passion for the music program. He is a former trombone player, a former band parent, and a music enthusiast.

“I look forward to the opportunity to work in a faith-based environment,” said Chris Kash. “I have always loved working with young people and seeing the impact you can have on them as they grow into young adults. I am also excited to be joining Lehman as they transition to the new Three-Rivers Athletic Conference. I have competed against most of these schools, and am excited to help build our programs to be successful in this new league.”

Chris has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Bethel University and an associate’s degree in communications. He also holds an educator's license from Bowling Green State University. Chris and his family attend St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Englewood. His hobbies include exercise, reading, attending sporting events and concerts, studying history especially the Civil War, and spending time with his family.
