CONGRATULATIONS CAVALIERS!

Freshman: Jack Williams | Jack has stepped up to help with lunch counts and anything else that needs to go to the office during CAV time. Without being asked, he jumps up and takes care of it. Getting the lunch counts to Ms. Meyers is critical. His willingness to help has not gone unnoticed. Nominator: Mrs. Wilcox

Sophomore: Eliza Westerheide | I've always been impressed with Eliza Westerheide. She demonstrates a strong work ethic and is certainly a leader in her class. I can see that she's a true and loyal friend to her classmates. She puts in countless hours outside of school with her extracurriculars. We are a better school with Eliza Westerheide. Nominator: Mr. Wolters

Junior: John Moloney | At the beginning of the quarter I dared John to do his best and he has not disappointed me. He has consistently shown improvement throughout the quarter, not just in grades, but in his contributions to class discussions. While reading the last book for our unit, he has shown genuine curiosity about what happens next. His questions and comments have shown that he is engaging with the text (which is an English teacher's dream). I can't wait to see what he does next quarter! Nominator: Mrs. Wilcox

Senior: Chris Evans | Chris has been working hard on his academic work since the beginning of the school year. More importantly, I see his care and compassion toward a specific student in my room. He goes above and beyond for the student and helps educationally, physically, and even socially. They have formed a great relationship and it is a privilege for a teacher to see the compassion and empathy that has developed over the last year with Chris. Keep up the great work - your kind heart will take you far in life! Nominator: Mrs. Shappie.

Teacher Hero: Mr. Langenderfer | Mr. L is cool, funny, always helps me when I need it, he is positive about EVERYTHING, and is super enthusiastic. Honestly, I didn't like art because I thought I was not good at it, but Mr. L makes art class fun and I feel like I’m learning a lot. He always encourages other students, and I really like his class. He has a passion for his job and teaching students to be the best artists they can be. He has us pray to St. Catherine of Bologna before every class to ask her to intercede for us so that we can make something truly beautiful because there is already enough ugly in this world. I admire him very much and am so thankful to have him as a teacher and role model at Lehman. Nominated by multiple students.
