Meet our new 2025-2026 Faculty and Staff at Holy Angels School! Today we want to introduce our new Kindergarten classroom aide and Before Care helper, Mrs. Andi Vanover. Mrs. Vanover has been a volunteer at the school for several years and has a daughter enrolled at Holy Angels and we are so pleased that she is taking on this new role.
Hi! Im Andi Vanover. This is my first year at Holy Angels as a Kindergarten Aide. My husband’s name is Kyle, we have a daughter named Charli, who is a first grader here at Holy Angels. In the winter you can find us cheering on Kyle and The Edison State Men’s Basketball team! Meanwhile in the summer we are either camping or drag racing. I’m excited to see what the school year brings!
Students will begin taking their Fall iReady Diagnostic Tests next week. Please keep the following tips in mind to help your child do their best on the test!
-Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep
-Make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast
-Encourage your child to try their best on the test
-Come to school on time
-Start the morning positively and with as little stress as possible
-Try not to deviate from your normal morning routine
REMINDER: All start-of-year paperwork received in your folder at Open House (or on the first day of school if you were unable to attend Open House) as well as all Little Angels PS/PK paperwork that was mailed in July is due next Friday, August 29th, to the main office. Thank you so much to those who have turned in all of their paperwork already! About a third of our students have turned in all their forms. However, we still have two thirds of our students who have turned in only partial paperwork or no paperwork at all. Families we still need paperwork from will be contacted early next week as a reminder that you are missing some or all of your forms. Students will be unable to use technology, other resources, or may be unable to return to school until all paperwork is received if it is not turned in by the end of the day next Friday. If you have any questions, please contact the main office. Hi - my name is Jenny Weber and I’m excited to join the Holy Angels faculty as the Jr High Science teacher. I have been subbing here the last few years and prior to that I taught science at LCHS. Outside of my science mornings at school, I enjoy swimming, cooking, drawing, teaching piano, and traveling with my husband, Paul. I’m looking forward to exploring the weird and wonderful world of science with the jr. high students!

Before and After Care will be held in Mrs. Gagnet's room AKA the Title I Reading room. This room is on the 1st floor (some may refer to it as the basement level), down the same hallway as the school's main office. Students may bring a snack if they like, but please try to be mindful and do not send snacks that are extra messy as this room is carpeted. Additionally, students will need to bring something to keep them occupied during this time, such as a book, card games, or homework.
For drop off, students will come in the first set of main doors that leads to the front office area. Those main doors will unlock at 7am. Once in the vestibule area, students will need to press the button, where they will be buzzed in and can open the now unlocked door. They then should proceed directly down to the Before Care room.
For pick up, the procedure is similar. Parents or other adults picking up will be able to come through the first set of doors which are unlocked until 4:30pm. They need to press the button to get buzzed in. If the office is still staffed, they may walk through the office. Otherwise, the third set of doors will be propped open for them to walk through straight down the hallway to the After Care room. Sometimes if the weather is nice, After Care may be out on the playground, and you can pickup there.

Students who need to leave school early must be picked up and signed out in the office by their parent/guardian or by another person designated by the parent or guardian. Students who arrive at 8:15am or later need to be brought into the office and signed in by the parent/guardian and will be given a tardy slip to give to their teacher.
ANY STUDENT WHO WILL BE TARDY OR COMING IN LATE FOR ANY REASON, OR A STUDENT WHO WILL BE ABSENT FOR THE DAY MUST BE REPORTED VIA THE ATTENDANCE LINE BY 8:15AM. The attendance line is a direct-to-voicemail line that can be accessed by families 24/7 by calling the school at 937-492-9293 and dialing the extension for the attendance line. Any student absent after 8:15am with no call to the attendance line will be marked as an unexcused absence, and the parent/guardian will receive a phone call from school regarding the child's absence. Please help make the office staff's morning go as smoothly as possible by calling and leaving a voicemail on the attendance line notifying of your child's absence or late arrival before 8:15am every morning to limit the number of calls that have to be made home. Keeping your child safe is our number one priority, and without a notification from you of their intended absence or late arrival, we have no way of knowing if they are safe or if something may have happened to them on the way to school.
