This week Lehman Catholic Seniors welcomed their 2nd grade pen pals for a rainy day picnic and celebration! This annual tradition is a fun way to celebrate a year of letter writing. The 2nd graders played games and enjoyed time with their friends at Lehman!

Lehman Catholic Cavalier Varsity Defeats Bethel On Back Of Clutch Display From Jones
LeahAnn Jones drove in four runs on three hits to lead Lehman Catholic Cavalier Varsity past Bethel 11-6 on Thursday. LeahAnn Jones hit a home run to center field in the second inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the fifth inning, scoring one.
Lehman Catholic Cavalier Varsity were the first to get on the board in the first when Reese Hoskins doubled, scoring two runs.
Lehman Catholic Cavalier Varsity added four more runs in the bottom of the second inning on four hits. Reese Hoskins singled, scoring one run, and LeahAnn Jones homered to center field, scoring three runs.
Reese Hoskins earned the win for Lehman Catholic Cavalier Varsity. The hurler surrendered 10 hits and six runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking one. Chloe Kerns took the loss for Bethel. The hurler went six innings, surrendering 11 runs (nine earned) on 13 hits, striking out three and walking five.
Lehman Catholic Cavalier Varsity tallied 13 hits in the game. LeahAnn Jones and Reese Hoskins were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Lehman Catholic Cavalier Varsity while hitting back-to-back. Jenna Baker and Bailey Cotterman each collected multiple hits for Lehman Catholic Cavalier Varsity. Kaelynn Walker led Lehman Catholic Cavalier Varsity with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up five walks for the game. Lehman Catholic Cavalier Varsity turned one double play in the game.
Bethel collected 10 hits in the game. Layla Moore went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Bethel in hits. Annabelle Adams, Izzy Guerrero, Gabbey Miller, and Siler each drove in one run for Bethel. Karis Hawk collected two hits for Bethel in four at-bats.
