The Lehman Catholic Boys Varsity Golf team finished in first place at the OHSAA D3 Shelby Oaks Sectional. Fourteen area SW District teams, with 69 golfers, competed for a spot in the D3 District Tournament to be held on Sept. 29 at Pipestone GC in Miamisburg.
The Cavaliers, earning their first team tournament win this season, finished with an overall team score of 313, which was 14 strokes ahead of runner-up Botkins, 327. Henry Petersen shot a 77 (T-2nd overall), Jack Williams and Braden Ulbrich both shot 78 (T-4th overall), Shane Frantz shot 80 (8th place overall), and Carter Rigel shot 82 (T-12th overall). While Lehman has had individual qualifiers earn a district spot in recent years, this is the first team berth since 2018!
Next up is the Three Rivers Conference Tournament, today at Cherokee Hills GC in Bellefontaine. Go, Cavs!

They will learn more about our community, build awareness of Shelby County United Way agencies and programs, practice and grow their leadership skill, network with students from other schools & communities, and strengthen their sense of civic engagement and service.
