Dear Junior and Senior Parents:

It is official! Lehman Catholic High School will be celebrating Junior-Senior Prom and After Prom 2020-2021!! This is exciting news, but the okay from the State came in early March, leaving us just a few weeks to plan an amazing Prom for our Junior and Senior students.

Prom will be held on April 16, 2021, at the Buckeye Barn in Piqua, Ohio. It is a beautiful location and ideal for a special night-themed Royal Ball. Prom will be held from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Prom Court will be announced at 7:15 p.m. with dinner and dancing to follow.

After Prom is a parent-sponsored event that will be held at the Lincoln Center in Troy, Ohio from 11:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. The Lincoln Center is an all-inclusive facility with a swimming pool, two gyms, gym equipment, and several rooms for activities such as corn hole, karaoke, temporary tattooing, snacks, and various other activities. The students are encouraged to bring a change of clothes and swimming attire. Locker rooms are available for changing. There will be great prizes too!!

There have been some changes made this year to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for Prom and After Prom. The first change is how the tickets are priced. Students will buy one ticket for both Prom and After Prom. Junior tickets will be $35 per student – includes Prom, dinner, and After Prom. Senior tickets will be $25 per student – includes Prom, dinner, and After Prom. The second change involves After Prom attendance. All students that purchase a Prom/After Prom ticket will be expected to arrive at After Prom no later than 12 midnight. A chaperone will have a list of all students that have purchased tickets. If that student does not arrive at After Prom by 12 midnight, there will be a phone call made to the parent(s). If your student does not want to attend After Prom, a parent MUST call the school to be taken off the list for After Prom. Otherwise, all students purchasing Prom tickets will be expected at After Prom.

Now ... the details are out of the way. Here’s how all the parents can help. As you all know, COVID has changed our world, our lives, and our kids’ lives significantly. I don’t even have the words to encompass all of the ways this pandemic has affected the very fiber of our humanity. So ... this year’s Junior-Senior Prom is a small but HUGE step in getting back to whatever “normal” might look like. These kids truly deserve to let loose, get all dressed up, and enjoy being kids! The only snag in this celebration is that we need donations. There has been very little opportunity in the past year to do any fundraising for Prom due to COVID. We need your support if at all possible. We need cash donations and item donations such as gift cards and items that students would enjoy. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, please make your check payable to Lehman Catholic High School with “Junior-Senior Prom” in the memo line. We are requesting that all donations be received by Friday, April, 10. Should you wish to donate money, gift cards, or drop off an item, please see the address below.
