Lehman Catholic Tennis Team Wins Big

Lehman’s boy’s tennis team finished first in the Miami Valley Tennis Coaches Cup Tournament on Saturday, April 17.

Lehman Catholic finished first with 17 points. Valley View was second with 16, Eaton was third with 12 and Springsboro was fourth with 8.

Sam Gilardi won the 1st singles championship. He beat Eaton 8-5, Valley View 8-1, and Springboro 8-6.

 Chris Evans won the 2nd singles championship. He beat Springboro 8-4, Eaton 8-1, and Valley View 8-4.

Joe Pannapara won the 3rd singles championship. He beat Valley View 8-1, Springboro 8-1, and Eaton 9-7.

 Brandon Jones and Max Schmiesing finished 4th at 1st doubles. They lost to Eaton 8-5, beat Valley View 8-5, and lost to Springboro 8-5.

 Brock Bostick and Logan Linson finished 4th at 2nd doubles. They lost to Springboro 8-5, lost to Eaton 8-1, and lost to Valley View 8-4.

“I am very proud of these young men and how they played,” said Tim Ungericht, Lehman Catholic Head Tennis Coach. “This is my first team title as a coach and our first team title in the boy’s tennis program in a number of years. The results today will bode well for us in seeding at the sectional draw in two weeks.”
