I am excited to be here with you and for my time as chaplain here at Lehman Catholic.  I was ordained this past May, and this is my first assignment as a priest.

Yes, I’m the third Fr. Hess in the last 10 years (I’m sure you’re wondering how we are related. Fr. Dan is possibly a 4th or 5th cousin, so very distant. Fr. Andrew and I are not related at all!)  I graduated from Coldwater schools in 2012 and entered seminary right after that.  Some fun facts about me: I am the oldest of four children, with a sister and two brothers. I bowled in High School and continue to do so occasionally. I’ve gotten into pyrography (wood burning) recently, which has been an interesting and enjoyable hobby. Music has always been a big part of my life: band, musicals, choirs, and I play a number of instruments. I like watching and following different sports--I’m a big Notre Dame football and Cincinnati Reds baseball fan. I also enjoy baking the occasional pie or two and pretending I know my way around the kitchen! In addition to being assigned chaplain at Lehman Catholic, I am also the Parochial Vicar at Holy Angels in Sidney, so you may see me around there as well!  Feel free to come up and introduce yourself if you see me at an event!
