10 tips on how to make high school great!

High school goes by faster than you can imagine. It’s 4 years that will have a big impact on your future, whether you know it or not. Here’s a guide to get the most out of it:

1. Use your time wisely

There’s plenty to do, whether it’s extracurriculars, homework, spending time with family, etc. Don’t take any second for granted!

2. Get involved with extracurriculars

Ask around to see what clubs or sports you may be interested in. These are fun to be apart of and you can make some really good friends through these.

3. Be open to making new friends

You really never know what somewhat is like until you talk to or spend time with them. Invite someone new to sit with you at your lunch table or introduce yourself to the kid that you sit next to in English class. It’s simple! They don’t have to be your best friend for the rest of your life.

4. Study and work hard

No one said that high school was always easy. You’ll have to work hard to get through it, but you can do it!

5. Don’t stress too much about grades

One B- on a test won’t kill you or your semester grade.

6. Stay engaged in class and do your assignments

Make the most out of each lecture and homework lesson. Actually push yourself to learn something new everyday.

7. Go to school dances

Whether it’s with a date or a group of great friends, it can be so much fun, if you have the right mindset. You may regret not going to Homecoming, Turnabout, or Prom someday!

8. Go to school sporting events

The support from those in the stands never goes unnoticed. Go root on some of your friends and have a good time!

9. Volunteer

You can spare a little free time to help those in need in you local community. It’ll go a long way.

10. Relax and have fun!

These four years won’t last forever. Make the most of them!
