Prospective Parent Question:
If I am going to invest in a Lehman education for my daughter, I want to know that I can expect to receive a return on this investment. What has your child gotten out of the school?
Parent Answer (Dan and Debra):
Lehman Catholic High School offers many rewarding opportunities for students to participate in along with its outstanding academic programs.
Our daughter has been actively involved with band, student council, musicals, sports and community service clubs that have provided many life skills to supplement her educational foundation.
Lehman challenged our daughter to maintain her good grades while balancing her time for extracurricular activities and organizations.
The faith based educational curriculum has provided a deeper appreciation for the Catholic religion while providing an understanding and respect for all Christian faiths.
Our investment in Lehman Catholic High School for our daughter's education gave us many blessings on graduation day. The experiences and knowledge our daughter has taken from Lehman has prepared her well for college and has provided a solid foundation for the rest of her life.
Prospective Parent Question:
I believe in the value of Lehman High School. I just worry about coming up with the money for tuition. I know that I will need to make payments over time. Can you tell me how Lehman works with families on finding a ways to make it affordable?
Parent Answer (Karen):
Lehman has many payment options available and parents can also apply for financial assistance. They also provide fundraising activities such as bingo to help offset the tuition cost. Besides this, we as a family understand the importance of a Catholic education for our children and have spent several years planning for these high school years and tuition. We have money deducted from our work checks each pay and have it deposited directly into a separate savings account, which is used for school tuition. We have been doing this since grade school. We have also researched and looked into other financial planning opportunities such as employer tax deferred plans and estate planning as options. We also know parents who have had grandparents gift money toward their child's tuition to help with the costs. It is a sacrifice to send your children to a Catholic school, but my husband and I definitely feel that the benefits outweigh the cost.
Prospective Parent Question:
My son is not as enthusiastic about the Catholic faith as I would like him to be. Do you think that Lehman can strengthen his Catholic faith?
Parent Answer (Tim and Sue):
As Catholic parents and like most parents we wanted the best for our sons. Our desire was to give them the opportunity to get a faith-based education and continue to grow and live a faith-based life. We noticed that Lehman afforded them this growth as soon as we joined the Lehman community. As a testimonial to this, and one of our highlights,is sharing what they are being taught in their religion classes. We have done this many times as we are sitting around the dinner table. Our four boys are close in age and as they share their thoughts, we can definitely see a progression of faith. There is no guarantee that everyone's faith will be strengthened by attending Lehman, but we can certainly say Lehman has been a vital part of our sons' growth in the Catholic faith.
